Waiting for Daddy

Ella is determined to sit up by herself

Dinnertime! No one wants to be left out when its time to eat dinner so we've started bringing everyone out to the table with us (it is a lot easier than getting up every few minutes to stick pacifiers back in). They all seem pretty happy to just sit and watch us eat - they just want to be where the action is.

Everyone went to church and then out for breakfast on Sunday. It was very exciting - but exhausting too. By the time we got home, everyone was asleep in the car seats and I was not inclined to move them until they woke up.

There is hope! It got up into the 60s on Sunday which was warm enough for a walk outside - our first! I carried Ella and Alex and Helen rode in the stroller. Ella was fascinated by everything she saw; Helen and Alex slept through it all.

It has been an uneventful week. Everyone is doing well and smiling up a storm. No one is sitting up yet but they are all trying valiantly. The biggest news this week is that Cecil is on his way home for his 15 days of leave. Initially, a few months ago, they told him that he would be coming home at the end of April. Then they said mid April. Now it is the beginning of April. We knew it would be too good to be true if he were able to be home for the baptism later this month and there was a chance that if he came home too early, he would have to go back before the baptism. Well, good for us but not so good for him, his trip home is taking so long that he will now be home for the baptism and won't have to leave until several days afterwards. All told, by the time he gets here, it will have taken him a week of travelling through several countries to get home to us. I'm just waiting by the phone for a call from him saying he made it to Atlanta and letting me know when his flight gets into Ohio. Words cannot describe how excited we are to see him. Next week we'll have pictures with Daddy!!!
