The Cauley Triplets: The Baptism

This Sunday we had the babies baptized into the Catholic faith. It was quite an event having three babies baptized and getting three sets of godparents here. But everything went great! We started celebrating Saturday night with a cook out in honor of Cecil's birthday. One set of godparents came in from Atlanta, another from Panama City, Florida, and my brother's family from Cleveland. All of us have three kids so we had 12 kids running around Saturday night - it was great! On Sunday, the babies performed beautifully. We only had a couple of near meltdowns but given the odds of one out of three babies losing it, I think we did pretty good, especially considering all the clothes changing we did and having them wear frilly clothes and getting doused with water and oil.

We were very lucky to have so many wonderful family and friends there to celebrate with us. It was a great weekend and we had a great time seeing all of our friends. And of course we were so happy that Cecil could be here for the big occassion. He goes back to Afghanistan this week and should be home for good at the end of September. Only 5 more months to go!!

Ella - this is one of the first times the girls have been in dresses because it has been too cold. Thankfully it is starting to get warm enough that we can peel down to two or even one layer!

Alex is perfecting his camo look so he can be just like Daddy (although Daddy strongly protests that he looks anything like this and that these clothes are not even close to looking like Army issue. He further insists that Alex looks like a huge dork in this hat but since mommy is the one who gets to do the shopping and dress them, the hat stays :)
