3 Year pictures and Christmas pictures

Right before their birthdays, I took them to get their birthday pictures taken and their 3 year pictures taken. Cecil had to work that day so we did not get a full famiy picture. But here I am with the kids.

The three kids in front of the Christmas tree

This is the picture I used for the Christmas card

Here they are with Hunter - thank goodness Heather was there to help!

A rare picture of Alex smiling. I think we got 3 good pictures of him smiling and this is one of them. He did not cooperate. But the girls were more than happy to pose and say cheese!

The girls

Ella was more than happy to smile, laugh, and cackle for every picture

She took Santa very seriously though

This is what Alex looked like most of the time. However, they were very excited when I pulled these clothes out and they all shouted that they were wearing Spiderman dresses and shirt. I said, sure, whatever gets you dressed, you are all Spiderman!

Helen is getting so big

This would have been a great picture if Ella were smiling

A good one of the three of them. It's not easy getting all three of them to smile at once!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

The morning of their birthday, we had a little celebration at home. Here are the birthday girls coming downstairs

Mommy and Alex

We put candles in their waffles, but Helen was scared of the "fire" and smoke so we had to take hers out

Alex blows out his candle

Ella blows out her candle

Opening their presents and cards

Helen is still a little gun shy from the candle episode

Ella opens her card

Alex wears his firetruck hat from Grandma

They got tricycles for their birthday but had some trouble mastering the technique

Helen resorts to pushing hers while Alex gives it a good try

Daddy helps the girls

Daddy explaining to everyone who all the superheros are in Alex's new toy

For their birthday party, we went to a bouncy place where the kids and their friends could jump and slide to their heart's content. Here's Ella climbing into one.

Mommy and Ella

Alex plays air hockey

Helen and Ella coming down the slide (mommy went down with them once and that was enough for mommy)

Daddy goes down with Ella

Ella and Alex getting off the slide

The girls try to get a prize out of a game

Daddy is captured by the giant Nijasaur slide

Not sure who had more fun - Daddy or the kids

Alex coming down the slide

Mommy trying to get the kids to sit still for a picture

A group picture in front of the Ninjasaur

I let each of the kids pick out their own cake. This is Alex's airplane cake.

Ella's fairy cake

Helen's princess cake

Helen eating her ice cream

Ella eating her ice cream

Singing happy birthday and patiently waiting to dig in

Alex licks the icing off of his airplane

Helen eats her cake and plays with her princesses

Ella is more interested in her fairies than her cake

Alex and Hunter both have their guitar shirts on!
We had a great birthday and are so excited to be 3 now :)
