September 2011

I took the kids to see Sesame Street Live - and I was a huge push over and let them each pick out a toy before the show. Helen and Ella got Zoe dolls. Here's Ella with hers.
Alex got a spinny thing
On some Friday afternoons, we head over to Cecil's work where they have a small happy hour. Here's Alex heading up to the bar with his Daddy to get some orange juice and to hang out with all the Army Daddies.
Abbey sleeping. She is a great night time sleeper. Two weeks ago, I put her through sleep training. At 6:30 when I knew she was tired, I put her to bed and let her cry until she went to sleep. She cried for an hour then slept through the night (OK, so she woke up twice to eat but that's normal for her - she would wake up to eat, then go back to sleep). The next night she cried for 20 mins. After a few nights, she stopped crying at all or only for a few minutes before falling asleep. Now she sleeps from 6:30 to 7:30 AM. Everyone under the age of 5 is in bed by 7:00 and we have our nights back!
We got some hand me down shoes and the kids could not wait to try on their new boots
Abbey in her bouncy seat. She loves sitting in it and kicking her legs to make it bounce.
Alex with his new hair cut and his new Daddy race cars (National Guard cars)
Abbey hanging out
Everyone got a hair cut. Here we are post hair cuts; the girls got "princess hair" complete with glitter.
Ella getting her nails done - as long as it does not interfere with watching her movie.
We took up the whole salon.
Grandma and Abbey watch as the big kids get their hair cut

Ella's hair cut
Helen was a little reluctant to get her hair cut but she likes the glitter nail polish (too bad Daddy is not a fan of the nail polish)
One weekend we went to Ollie Koala's to play. Here's Ella on the truck
The girls watch Alex play a game
The kids try on their new dance clothes - Alex is still more interested in using his sword than dancing
Abbey has some tummy time. She generally hates tummy time and will either just lay her head down and going to sleep or crying very fiercely. But, she has a bald spot on the back of her head from laying on it so much, so we continue to work on our tummy time.
In July, we went down to Orlando for a conference for Cecil's work. The hotel had an awesome pool so we spent a day out at the pool. Here's Abbey hanging out in her bathing suit.
She's just checking things out - 6 weeks old.
Ella said she was Princess Ariel (the mermaid)
Alex loves pirates now
Helen tries to get Abbey to stick out her tongue

Abbey usually will stick out her tongue at her but she's not interested this morning.
Grandma has fun watching her granddaughters
Abbey sleeps in her swing with her big belly hanging out
We put the kids in dance class twice a week (Cecil is adamant that we not call it ballet). Alex has to go anyway since there is no one else to watch him while the girls are there, so he might as well dance. It is just a bunch of 3 year olds running around, so he did eventually get into it and seems to like it. But Helen loves it!
Ella loves it too and we promised Daddy that we would not take any pictures of Alex dancing so that they could not be used as blackmail pictures later.

Helen and Ella helping Grandma give Abbey a bath (notice Ella's boots with her shorts - it was 90 degrees but she did not care how hot it was)
Abbey drying off after her bath. Seriously, how cute is she?

One Saturday we went to the farmer's market where they were selling princess crowns. Here is Ella with her crown.
If I thought dressing triplets was fun, dressing 3 girls is even more fun! Here are the girls in their first matching dresses.
So cute
